The LignoBoost demo plant has recently started a large scale production of sulphonated kraft lignin and can now offer a lignin based product, suitable as dispersants in a diverse range of applications.

 

Sulphonation of kraft lignin can, for example, change properties such as water-solubility and convert in to a hydrophilic polymer. Sulphonated kraft lignins belong to the anionic polymer dispersants, the most commonly used class of dispersants. Sulphonated kraft lignin can perform as dispersants in a diverse range of applications.
