The OPTI-Kappa was a key factor for the successful research results. Field trials were performed at a number of mills. Process and control models were based on solid know-how of the pulping technology. As a result a number of robust control algorithms were implemented in various system environments. The control algorithms were sold for industrial implementation and constitute the foundation upon which several current pulping/bleaching systems are based.

 

Further, the first industrial washer control system developed in early research activities at Innventia. The new principles were quickly established as a standard for washroom control systems.
