Wood room control
The wood room processes affect both production costs and product quality. In several projects Innventia has clarified the complex interaction between bark content and wood loss, debarking time and intensity and wood properties. In fact, Innventia developed the first control strategy for a debarking drum  based on drum weight, which today has been embraced by most suppliers.
 
Throughout the years control strategies for optimizing the debarking process have also been developed and updated, often with on-line feedback of the bark content.
 
Innventias experience resulting from studies on chippers, homogenisation stacks, debarking drums, screening and other wood room processes are regularly presented at the popular Wood Room Conference (“Renseri-konferensen”) organised by Innventia.
