There is a great need for assessing delamination tendencies, in research as well as in industrial processes. A new on-line delamination sensor was developed from an innovative measurement approach.
In a model experiment, an ad-hoc delaminated sheet was measured with the new sensor. The results clearly showed that the new principle reliably can detect changes in the mechanical structure of a sheet.
