Innventia is constantly hunting for new solutions to measurement challenges in various research projects. In one research project the propagation of mechanical pulses in a sheet of paper (or board) has been extensively investigated. As a result of the research effort a number of new useful measurement principles have been realized.
The on-line sensors have all been brought to a prototype stage and their measurement principles been thoroughly verified on the Innventia
pilot machines.
The new family of measurement systems give radically new and unique insight into sheet property variations that have not been made available before. Application areas include studies of runnability problems in paper and board machines as well as in printing presses.
