Tetra Recart AB Studies Tray Handling at the Innventia Human-Product Interaction Laboratory
The aim of the study was to identify which of five tray variants was easiest and quickest to make shelf ready and able to minimize in store waste handling.
The results showed that two of the five tray variants saved time and were preferred by the in store replenishers who took part in the study.
They were also efficient in transport and handling and offered excellent print surfaces. Tetra Recart were able to demonstrate real benefits of the new trays to their customers through the systematic application of expertise within the Innventia Team.
Patrick Landroth at Tetra Recart says ‘This in all makes very strong sales arguments for us’.
Innventia were selected by Tetra Recart to conduct the study as ‘Innventia has a good reputation when it comes to evaluations and studies of packaging’ remarked Patrick. He also recalled that ‘Cooperation with Innventia worked very well throughout the project, thanks to straight and open communication’.
A user scenario reflecting the real in store handling of packages was created at the Human-Product Interaction (HPI) facility in Stockholm. The user group consisted of replenishers from retailer grocery sections and their preferences and their views on each tray were gathered. Throughout the session the replenishers were observed, questioned and the handling of the products and packages recorded.
