To guarantee wood species, tree class etc, Innventia uses the chipper to produce chips for laboratory cooking and refining.

 

The Chipper is a disc chipper, Bruks 982MT, with a capacity of 25 m³/h. The disc diameter is 980 mm and it has 4 knifes. The number of revolutions is changeable from 0 to 1000 r/min, the nominal chip length from 6 to 45 mm. The feeding is horizontal with an inlet of 260x250 mm, the discharge is gentle in the bottom. All different kinds of hardwood and softwood can be chipped with the chipper. Logs up to 25 cm diameter can be handled without problem.

 

The chips are normally transported to the screen by a screw and an elevator.

 

Screen

The screen is designed for chips for Innventia's laboratory pulping.

 

The screen is a thickness screen, Rader, with discs on horizontal axles. The distance between the discs increases towards the outlet. Thus the chips are divided into thickness classes, one class for every 2 mm between 0 and 8 mm.

 

The screen can be feeded manually, if chips from a mill are used, or automatically by a screw and an elevator from the chipper.
