Microscopy of Fibres

Light and Electron Microscopy is used to study and analyse all types of samples but mostly fibres, paper and wood. Innventia characterises e.g. fibre surfaces, fibrillation and deformations, paper surface and structure, coatings and print.

Beside microscopy techniques we also applied FTIR-microspectrometry.

With light microscopy we perform:

Mixture of mechanical and chemical pulp

The mixture of mechanical
and chemical pulp stained
by Graff "C".

The micrograph of one
of the paper cross-
sections, bright field.

Histogram of paper
density in z–direction
divided in 15 zones.
