The consistently growing demands for a sustainable society force companies to look for new, less resource-consuming solutions in all areas. In the packaging area, too, many research activities have been started with this in mind.

 

One is the Glupack project at Innventia AB, the aim of which is to develop wheat-gluten as a barrier material to replace barrier materials made from non-renewable sources in packaging constructions. The goal of the project is to produce three wheat-gluten based demonstrator materials.
