SUW - The International Development Group for Corrugated Board
 
SUW is an association of companies interested in developing corrugated board of a high and even quality, cost efficient process techniques and functional utilisation of raw materials for corrugated board.

SUW was founded in 1968 as the Swedish (later Scandinavian) Development Group for Corrugated Board in order to support R&D in the area of corrugated board.

The group includes manufacturers of corrugated board, machinery, paper and glue:

The charters state that SUW is open to "all companies and organisations interested in and qualified to support SUW's policies and goals."

 

SUW's object and aim are to be an international centre for high-class R&D and information within the corrugated board area. SUW should
  • develop and support quality and utilisation of corrugated board in order to defend and strengthen its competitiveness on the packaging market
  • develop cost efficient process techniques for the production and conversion of corrugated board
  • improve corrugated board raw materials.
