Microbiology
Innventia has an expertise in the particular microbiology that sussounds pulp and paper mills. The services offered span from carrying out specific analyses on received samples to visiting mills and making a more extensive, trouble-shooting system analysis.

Among the many microbiological problems associated with the papermaking process, we work often with:
  • Screening and characterisation of micro-organisms in process and product;
  • Microbiological testing methods for process water, pulp, paper, board, coating and fillers: DIN, SCAN, EN, ISO.

Critical point analyses

  • Bacteriological examination:
    - Conventional cultivation,
    - Anaerobic cultivation.
  • Methods to detect specific components:
    - Limulus Lysate (LAL) for endotoxin,
    - Tecra for enterotoxin.
  • Other identification methods:
    - API systems,
    - FISH - Flourescent in situ hybridization,
    - Microscopic examination of slime deposits,
    - PCR.

Accredited analyses in microbiology

Innventia is accreditated according to EN 17025 for

EN 1104, Paper and board intended to come into contact with foodstuff – Determination of transfer of antimicrobic constituents.
