Printability

Printability is the result of the interaction between the paper and the printing press, where e.g. ink, fountain solution, blanket, impression, speed and drying have large influence. Knowledge of the intended printing process is of vital importance to be able to optimise paper and paper surface. The demands for surface smoothness, surface strength and absorptivity are completely different when e.g. rotogravure, offset, flexographic or inkjet printing is considered.

Innventia is continuously developing new methods, as well as new applications of existing one’s and can therefore offer a number of interesting test methods for printability evaluations.
