Cooking and Bleaching
A large share of our operations is aimed at improving existing processes for kraft cooking, oxygen delignification and bleaching as well as developing new processes for the production of chemical pulp.

Our high level of competence and advanced laboratory equipment enable us to perform a broad range of studies. Examples of focus-areas are:

  • Optimized strategies for pulping and bleaching with respect to pulp quality and process economy
  • Development of new recovery technologies allowing for new and improved pulping processes
  • Integration of biorefinery-processes into chemical pulp mills
  • New processes allowing for low-effluent and sustainable pulp processes

Industrial as well as pilot-produced chips may be used. The pilot chips are produced in the Innventia Chipper.

Equipment for chemical pretreatments and pressurized

impregnation of wood chips.
