Indicators

Through working with indicators you gain knowledge about your company's own operations - a knowledge which provides a basis for improvements, employee motivation and company image. If a trade shares these indicators and a common routine for use, benchmarking is possible for individual companies. Indicators can also be used to communicate your sustainability and environmental work in a trustworthy manner.

Communicate your indicators

Your indicators should indicate significant aspects and be easily measured, preferably related to relevant measurements for utilities, for example tonnes of products or turnover. They facilitate the follow-up and evaluation of the company's sustainability and environmental work and forms a suitable basis for the development of methods for assessment of sustainability, for example Carbon Footprint. Because of this, indicators are suitable for communicating to your customers, the public, authorities and employees.

We develop relevant sustainability indicators for companies and for the value chains from forest to paper to packaging. We have solid experience in working with environmental indicators.
 

Indicators for the Swedish graphic arts industry

For the Swedish graphic arts industry (Mint) we have developed a model for working with common environmental indicators. Today we are pursuing continuous work together with 20 newspaper companies in Sweden. These make yearly inventories and calculate the indicators and evaluate their environmental work using tools from Innventia. Through participating the companies also become part of a network where experiences are shared and current topics are discussed.
