The Biorefinery Concept

The alarming global warming, limited fossil resources along with a demand to increase the profitability of the forest industry have highlighted the need for pulp mills to find new applications besides the traditional business area.

To fully realize the Biorefinery concept in pulp mills, all process streams have to be efficiently utilized with respect to economy, i.e. process technology, energy and organic components without jeopardising the pulp quality.

We have the expertise to take your mill a step closer to a true Biorefinery. We can offer services regarding separation processes of organic components, energy balances and chemical and material derived from e.g. wood, black liquor and bark. Our broad competence includes knowledge about chemical pulp, fibre properties, chemical analysis and mill system analysis
