The next NWBC − the leading event where research and industry meet to discuss recent wood-based biorefinery developments − is scheduled for March 22-24, 2011.

The 3rd Nordic Wood Biorefinery Conference will present the latest ideas and developments in biorefinery separation and conversion processes as well as new biobased products from the wood biorefinery: energy, chemicals and materials. NWBC will gather expert speakers from the chemical, energy, pulp and paper industry as well as recognized representatives from the global research community.

Optional site visits will be organized on March 21, 2011 to several biorefinery demonstration/industrial plants. The evening program will include a buffet reception, hosted by the City of Stockholm at the beautiful City Hall of Stockholm (where the Nobel Prize Banquet is held) and a dinner evening at Clarion Sign. Do also ake the opportunity to "meet Canada" at an event te evening of March 23. Directly after the conference March 24, you can stay for the AFORE Workshop 16.30-19.30 with cocktail and snacks (separate registration, see above).

The venue, Clarion Sign Hotel, is Stockolms largest and newest conference facility and full-service hotel, situated in the very heart of Stockholm, close to the Central Station and the Arlanda Express Airport Train.
NWBC is arranged as a cooperation between Innventia, Sweden and VTT, Finland. The City of Stockholm, Processum and Solander Science Park are also co-organizing the event 2011. The last conference day is a joint NWBC 2011 and ILI Forum 9 event with lignin theme.
