The FTP C2009 Conference Programme has been updated with new presentations and speakers. Innovation and bio energy is given more time. The conference is already EFORWOOD ToSIA workshop has such a big interest that the workshop has had to be divided into two seminars and the Researchers Forum cannot accept any more presentations.

Before the actual start of the conference there are two open side events, the Researcher’s Forum and the EFORWOOD ToSIA demonstration workshop.
The interest to give presentations at the Forum has exceeded every expectation. The session leader Heinz Müller, Architektur Holz und Bau, Burgdorf und Biel, Berner Fachhochschule, is now organising the Forum. He still welcomes more participants but have to refuse to take on any more presentations as the schedule is full!
The ToSIA demonstration workshop has also raised a big interest. To match the interest the workshop will be divided into two demonstration seminars – one starting at 9:00 and the other starting at 10:20. Further on a computer based demonstration will also be available in the lobby on November 9th from 12:45 to 18:00 and on November 10th from 9:00 to 12:00.
Also the conference programme have had a few changes. Two new speakers have joined the programme. It is Henry Lindell, StoraEnso and Lappenranta university giving a presentation on “Intelligent packaging and applications in paper and corrugated board materials”. The other one is Angeles Blanco, UCM Grupo de Celulosa y Papel giving a presentation on “Sustainable water use in the paper sector: Holmen Paper Madrid case”.
In the closing session innovation and bio-energy will be more emphasised. The Tomas Kåberger from the Swedish Energy Agency will give a presentation on “Bio energy as an important co player” and CG Beckeman from FTP will present the report “Innovation in the forest sector: The way ahead”.
