Polymers and plastics

Renewable or not – we have in-depth knowledge about both the well-known, petroleum-based plastics of today and the bioplastics of the future.

Our work with non-renewable plastics relates primarily to consultancy commissions and contract research, which often involves technical evaluation and comparison of commercially available bioplastics and other plastics that are seen to be "green". The latter group includes renewable plastics/materials containing non-renewable additives or polymer matrices.

We test and evaluate materials that correspond to customers' specific needs, which may relate to:

  • barrier properties
  • mechanical properties
  • adhesion and sealability (hot tack)
  • processing such as extrusion
  • hot pressing new mixtures.
