Innventia is a world-leading research institute that works with innovations based on forest raw materials. The majority of our operations are carried out in project form via research programmes involving many partners, such as the three-year Cluster Research Programme, or in development projects with individual customer companies. Innventia also carries out a large number of direct commissions in the form of analyses, testing and demonstrations in our lab and pilots.
Boosting Business with Science
Our business concept is to produce and refine research findings and ideas based on forest raw materials, for the benefit of customers throughout the entire value chain. We call this approach Boosting Business with Science.
Around 225 people work within the Innventia Group, 200 of whom are based in the Stockholm area. Our three business areas carry out research and development within papermaking, biorefining and packaging development.
Our head office is located at the Royal Institute of Technology Campus in Stockholm, and it is here that most of our labs and pilot facilities can be found. Kista, a suburb of Stockholm, is home to our environmental testing centre for products and packaging. Our demonstration plant for biorefining processes and products, such as our LignoBoost technology, is located in Bäckhammar, in Värmland.
