"PAS 2050: A means to an end rather than an end itself"

PAS 2050, the BSI’s Specification for the assessment of the life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of goods and services, has finally been officially published. Its objective is to provide a common framework for businesses to calculate the carbon footprint of their products. The list of companies who have been involved in the testing of the methodology is impressive: Tesco, Boots, Innocent Smoothies, to name but a few.

Innventia helps UK and European trade associations calculate carbon footprints
Innventia has been contracted by the UK Professional Publishers Association (PPA) to undertake further development work of their Magazine Carbon Calculator. In parallel to this, Innventia has also produced an online calculator for a group of UK book publishers and printers to quantify the carbon footprint of individual book titles. This tool was launched earlier this week.
